The latest issue of the CorD magazine dedicated to business people, politicians and diplomats, brings an interview with Vukašin Radulović from the company “Heliant”, entitled “In the service of our health”.
“CorD” notes that “Heliant” experts started working on health information systems two decades ago, and that during the past year, continuously, on 24/7 basis, this company has been meeting all the demands coming from covid hospitals and covid centres in the country.
“CorD“magazine notes that more than 200 healthcare facilities use Heliant software products, the value of which is especially visible during the pandemic.
“This system of ours can be easily expanded and simply adapted to various medical specialties and, as last year showed, to different working conditions. Last year, at the very beginning of the pandemic, we connected the Laboratory for Virology with the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Clinical Centre of Serbia in just one day. In that way we made 300 paper documents that were potentially infectious available in electronic form”, Radulović says and points out that Heliant has enhanced its department for scientific activity, which now employs three medical doctors and two biochemists-pharmacists.
In the interview, Radulović notes that the Heliant helped the project of the electronic prescription, which put out of use five million papers on a monthly basis.
He says that he will believe that the company “Heliant” has done a great job if “we replace the administration in healthcare with technology and make it easier for millions of people to access healthcare services.” The company cooperates with NALEDon this project, of which organization it is a member.
The Heliant’sgoal, Radulović points out, is to further improve the department for scientific activity, to become a “tool for scientists and the scientific community”, and in that regard to work on the establishment of specialized disease registries, both in hospitals and nationally.
“It is not enough to have basic information and data, because they need to be organized in a better and smarter manner, which is a transition between the information and expert information system. (…) The goal is to make the data obtained by relevant research, which are otherwise available to a limited number of people, accessible to the world, to cross-reference, process and improve this data”, says Vukašin Radulović in an interview for CorDmagazine.
