The main topic of the latest issue of PC Press, the most famous IT magazine in Serbia, addresses the issue of digital transformation of healthcare, which highlights the role of Heliant, which helped hospitals quickly adapt their information systems to the crisis and fight the covid-19 epidemic.
Vukašin Radulović from Heliant, in an interview entitled “Informatics Helps in a Time of Crisis”, points out that he is most proud of the fact that the Heliant’s team comes “immediately after our partners who have borne the greatest burden, starting from the Infectious Diseases Clinic of the Clinical Centre of Serbia, through hospitals “Dr. Dragiša Mišović” “Bežanijska kosa”, not to mention all those who were in the first line of defence against the COVID-19 epidemic, stood in line, primarily through adapting the information system to new business processes in new circumstances”.
Radulović notes that this huge effort of health institutions to optimally organize work in clinics through 24-hour work in emergency circumstances, required information harmonization of the new organizational scheme with the new crisis reality.
PC Press presented Radulović as an engineer committed to the development and management of health information systems, and Heliant as a leader in the information software market in Serbia.
“Wherever we deemed that there was a space where informatics could help, we reacted,” Radulović said to PC Press.

With the help of UNICEF Hermes has been further developed, so that it now enables the exchange of messages to take place not only among physicians during their daily work, but also between healthcare facilities.
Heliant is currently developing Hermes 3, which will enable the data necessary for regular monitoring of the patient’s status to be systematized at the primary healthcare level.
