Representatives of Heliant, MD Nikola Jovanović and MD Etir Chalabi, participated as members of the expert committee at the TROPHY MED Hackathon, held on July 4, 2026, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad.
The hackathon was organized as part of the international project TROPHY – The Next Generation of Deep Tech Technology Leaders, led by the Faculty of Organizational Sciences of the University of Belgrade, with the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Novi Sad as a partner institution. The project is part of the EIT Higher Education Initiative, supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), with the goal of fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and the application of advanced technologies in higher education.
The event brought together student teams from various faculties who developed and presented innovative solutions in the fields of medicine, information technology, and artificial intelligence through collaborative work. The focus was on improving healthcare delivery and addressing current healthcare challenges through the application of digital technologies.
As members of the expert committee, Heliant representatives evaluated the presented projects based on their level of innovation, solution quality, practical applicability, and potential for further development. In addition to project evaluation, the event provided an opportunity for knowledge exchange between academia and industry experts, as well as discussions on the role of digital technologies in transforming healthcare systems.
Throughout the presentations, students demonstrated a high level of knowledge, creativity, and dedication, showcasing high-quality and promising solutions. The diversity of topics, interdisciplinary approach, and quality of discussions contributed to the successful realization of the event and once again highlighted the importance of connecting academia and industry in driving innovation.
Heliant continuously supports initiatives that encourage the development of digital healthcare, innovation, and collaboration with educational and scientific institutions. The participation of Heliant representatives in the expert committee of the TROPHY MED Hackathon represents a continuation of this collaboration and a contribution to the development of future generations of experts and modern digital healthcare solutions.
