We took part in the All Digital Summit 2026, held on 22 and 23 September in Belgrade, bringing together representatives of the digital community, institutions, education, and the IT sector. This year’s summit focused on digital well-being, skills, and building an inclusive and human-centred digital society.
Filip Maljković, Head of Heliant’s Development Team, participated in the “Digital Balkans” panel alongside representatives from the education and journalism sectors. We discussed how to connect education, digital skills, public services, and IT infrastructure, and how to develop technology in a way that would respond to people’s actual needs.
Special attention was given to artificial intelligence and the changes it is bringing to the IT sector and other fields, including healthcare. We also discussed one of the current issues in the IT industry – whether the development of AI tools is changing companies’ need for junior-level professionals and how this might affect the knowledge and skills future IT specialists would need.
Drawing on Heliant’s experience in developing software solutions for healthcare, we also connected the discussion with the specific challenges of applying new technologies in this field. AI is opening up new opportunities to improve processes, while at the same time bringing changes to the way we work, develop software, and build the competencies that will be needed in the future.
Taking part in the panel was an opportunity to discuss, together with the other participants and the audience, how to bring different parts of the digital ecosystem together into a connected whole – from education and digital skills, through public services and infrastructure, to new technologies that are changing the way we work and live.
We are pleased that, through the participation of Heliant and Infolab, we were part of this discussion and exchange of experiences on the future of the digital society.
