The company Heliant took part in a cyber incident response exercise held last week at the premises of the National CERT, as part of the “Cyber Balkans” project implemented by the e-Governance Academy (eGA) in cooperation with RATEL, the National CERT of the Republic of Serbia.

The aim of the event was to strengthen the cyber resilience of the healthcare sector through the exchange of knowledge on risk management models, legal frameworks, and practical protection methodologies.

For the purpose of the workshop, a ransomware attack simulation was organized within a fictional healthcare facility, covering the technical, organizational, and communication aspects of incident response. Participants were organized according to their roles and skills, in order to jointly understand the complexity and interdependence of stakeholders involved in responding to cyber threats, as well as to enhance their knowledge of the security aspects of large systems.

Heliant was represented by Filip Maljković, Head of the Heliant Development Team, who was responsible for the technical part of the simulation, and Sofija Seničić, Project Manager, who participated in the organizational segment of the response.

By taking part in initiatives such as this one, Heliant reaffirms its commitment to information security and the continuous improvement of the resilience of healthcare information systems that it develops and maintains.
