The OsteoNS 2024 – Spine MasterClass Symposium, held from November 15 to 17 in Novi Sad, brought together a number of experts dealing with the diagnosis and treatment of patients with various diseases of the spinal column. The Heliant representative, Vukašin Radulović, also spoke at the meeting.
As part of the symposium, the twelfth Balkan Congress of Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Traumatology was held, which introduced the participants to the novelties when it came to the treatment of sports injuries, as well as the possibilities of arthroscopic treatment of various joint diseases.
At this now traditional gathering, organized by the Association for Bone and Joint Diseases of Serbia, together with the Association of Neurosurgeons, lectures were delivered by renowned experts from Serbia, the Western Balkans, as well as internationally recognized experts from the universities of Bologna and Oxford.
They talked about the pathology of the spinal column from the age of the newborn, through all inflammatory and degenerative changes of the spinal vertebrae, discs, muscles and spinal cord that occur in middle age, to osteoporotic fractures in the oldest patients.
On the second day of the conference, Vukašin Radulović from “Heliant” held a lecture entitled “The Digital Backbone of Modern Medicine”. He emphasized that digitalization was changing the paradigm in medicine, providing tools for more accurate diagnostics and more efficient treatment planning when it came to spinal diseases.
The symposium also provided an excellent opportunity for networking among the participants, who exchanged experiences, discussed new research and established contacts that could lead to future cooperation during the three-day meeting.
