The 2022 OHDSI Global Symposium was held on 14 -16 October, 2022 in North Bethesda, Maryland, a suburb of Washington, DC.
As many as 500 guests from around the world participated in the most important annual event for the OHDSI community, an international network of researchers and health databases, whose work is coordinated at New York’s Columbia University.
Mr Filip Maljković, head of development at Heliant, was the only representative from Serbia.
OHDSI (The Observational Health Data Sciences and Informatics – pronounced “Odyssey”) is an open community engaged in the standardization and use of medical data for the purposes of providing evidence from the real world (real world evidence), all of whose solutions are open-source.
During the symposium, lectures were delivered on the most current topics in this field, during which some of the most famous American and world experts and company representatives presented their observations. In addition, software presentations, introductions to community representatives, workshops, working group meetings, “poster presentations” took place…
After this three-day symposium, the participants are enriched with more knowledge on issues of research methodologies, clinical research, open software and findings related to open standards.
