The fifth general meeting of the Association of Private Healthcare Facilities of Serbia was held recently in the Belgrade Metropol Hotel.

This Association, established in 2014, advocates that private healthcare facilities and private surgery offices should be an integral, functional part of the healthcare system in Serbia, in compliance with the highest professional and ethical standards in order to provide the best possible healthcare services in the best interest of all the citizens in terms of health.

The Association is currently the most representative association of this type, because it gathers the largest number of private surgery offices and healthcare facilities in one place – hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and laboratories from all over Serbia.

The working session of the meeting included parallel meetings of branches of medical science representatives, laboratory and pharmaceutical companies, with the directors of professional chambers.

The “Future of Private Healthcare in Serbia” forum also took place at which the opportunities and challenges of involving the private healthcare services in the government sector were discussed, as well as the issue of healthcare personnel, supplementary work, the new Draft Law on Healthcare, the Law on Health Insurance, and the digitization of medicine.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Health, the private healthcare sector, professional chambers, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Patients Associations.

Heliant, as a partner, attended the general meeting of the Association for the second time, as the event was of great importance for both healthcare sector and for the society as well.
