NALED’s traditional September Gathering was held on 10 September at the White Palace in Belgrade. This year’s event was of particular significance, as it marked the 20th anniversary of NALED’s work.
The anniversary gathering, jointly organized by NALED and its general sponsor, Merck, brought together more than 1,000 members and partners, including representatives of the business community, national and local institutions, the international community, and civil society.
The company “Heliant”, led by Vukašin Radulović, President of NALED’s Health Alliance, was a premium partner of this year’s Gathering.
Key speakers and participants included Ana Brnabić, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia; Aleksandar Pajić, Mayor of Šabac; Vladislav Cvetković, Chairman of the NALED Board of Directors; Dimitrios Georgiopoulos, Senior Vice President at Merck; and Violeta Jovanović, Executive Director of NALED.
Two decades of work provided an opportunity to reflect on NALED’s development and its contribution to improving the business environment and fostering cooperation between the public, private, and civil society sectors. The anniversary Gathering also provided an opportunity for members and partners to come together and exchange ideas on Serbia’s further development and reforms that can contribute to a more favourable business environment.
For Heliant, which has contributed to NALED’s work since its establishment and actively participated in its initiatives and events, the September Gathering represented another opportunity to meet, exchange experiences, and strengthen cooperation with representatives of the business community, institutions, and organizations brought together by shared development initiatives.
Alongside the official program, guests also had the opportunity to enjoy the “Flavours of Serbia” event, which presented selected local specialties from different parts of Serbia and complemented the atmosphere of the anniversary gathering. The special musical program featured Bojana Stamenov and conductor Fedor Vrtačnik, while one of the evening’s special guests was the renowned American actor John Savage.
