Heliant representative Doroteja Mitrović, Database Analyst, participated in the seminar “Code of Success: Women Driving Digital Serbia,” organized in Belgrade by PC Press and the Serbian IT Association (SITA)as part of the BIZIT seminar.

The seminar focused on the position of women in the IT industry, career development, leadership, digital transformation, and the impact of emerging technologies on modern business. Through lectures and panel discussions, the event brought together representatives of technology companies, educational institutions, and the business sector, with the aim of encouraging an open discussion about the challenges, opportunities, and changes shaping Serbia’s digital landscape.

A key focus of the program was exploring why IT was still often perceived as a “male-dominated field”, why fewer girls choose technical careers, and why some women left the industry over time. Through the share of experiences, participants discussed stereotypes, professional development, leadership, and the importance of increasing the visibility of women in technology.

Heliant representative, Doroteja Mitrović, participated in the panel “Women Building the Digital Future” together with Ana Matić and Jelena Pejković, while the panel was moderated by Assistant Professor PhD Jasmina Nikolić.

Mitrović spoke about the practical application of artificial intelligence in everyday business operations, with a particular focus on the difference between the actual capabilities of AI tools and the way artificial intelligence was often presented through media and marketing.

She presented concrete examples of using AI tools in a business environment—from organizing information and automating routine tasks to supporting learning, research, writing, and creative work. Drawing on her personal experience, she also discussed how artificial intelligence could contribute to increased productivity, more efficient decision-making, and better organization of everyday business activities.
