For a number of years, the company “Heliant” has been cooperating with universities from Great Britain on various projects and initiatives.
The Head of Development, Filip Maljković, has recently visited King’s College in London and discussed future projects with our associate, professor of health informatics, PhD Vasa Ćurćin and his team. Professor Ćurćin is the head of the Department of Population Health Sciences and is currently focused on collaboration in the field of treating patients with coexisting chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes.

Such projects enable advanced solutions that are used globally to be adapted to our healthcare system and used in the treatment of our citizens. The ROAD2H project managed by Imperial College from London, in which King’s College and Heliant were also partners, was completed two years ago. The goal of ROAD2H, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Council of Great Britain, was to develop clinical guidelines and electronic clinical pathways that would optimize processes and provide decision-making support. The solution developed within the project was successfully implemented in the Zvezdara Clinical Hospital Centre.
During this visit to the United Kingdom, in addition to official meetings, Vukašin Radulović and Filip Maljković attended the Intelligent Health UK where the latest solutions from the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare were presented. The motto of the conference was “Breaking down the barriers between technology and healthcare”, and the speakers spoke about the key role of health data in reducing inequalities and improving patient and population healthcare, AI in radiology, the applicability of ChatGPT in the healthcare system and many other issues.
