Within the multi-year cooperation with researchers from King’s College London, the development team of the “Heliant” company has developed several initiatives and projects, on which more details are available here.

Currently, the team is developing project proposals that deal with chronic diseases that are common in the world, but also in our country: cardiovascular diseases and diabetes. DiaDeM is a project proposal initiated by King’s College from London and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, in cooperation with the Association for the Fight against Diabetes – Blue Circle and the company “Heliant”, and which includes the development of digital solutions in healthcare that can contribute to improving the quality of life of patients with diabetes. On this occasion, a group of researchers from Great Britain, led by PhD Vaso Ćurčin visited Belgrade. As part of the work on project topics, a workshop was held with the activists of the Blue Circle Association for the fight against diabetes, where it was discussed what would be useful for patients in Serbia in order to improve the quality of care and life of people with diabetes.

You can see the atmosphere and impressions from the workshop in the post made by the Blue Circle, whose activists shared their thoughts on what could be better in terms of diagnosing diabetes and living with it, and answered some other questions.

The knowledge and conclusions of this workshop will be added to the proposal of the DiaDeM project, which will include the development of an application that would facilitate patients’ daily life, through a diet and activity diary, communication with physicians and other people with diabetes, and reminders for health examinations and therapy.
