The company “Heliant” donated its health information system to the College of Vocational Studies in Healthcare in Belgrade as part of the international project “Sockets”, implemented in Serbia by the Centre for Science Promotion.

Students of this College have already started using Heliant during this semester. As Professor Branka Rodić told us, the students’ response was rather positive, they concluded that Heliant was user-friendly and believed that knowing how to use this system would help them in their future career.

Professor Rodić points out that as part of the teaching process, future healthcare professionals will be trained to use the information system for healthcare facilities and through practical exercises they would acquire business and record keeping skills. She points out that the acquired knowledge and skills will help the students of the College of Vocational Studies in Healthcare to easily overcome the challenges they will encounter at the beginning of their careers.

Professor Rodić’s opinion is shared by Milan Jenić from the Centre for Science Promotion, who believes that the students of the College of Vocational Studies in Healthcare have obtained a significant resource that will add value to their educational and future professional engagement.

In addition to Serbia, organizations from Bulgaria, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain also participate in the international project “Sockets”, the goal of which is to ensure that through social engagement and cooperation with socially responsible companies and with the help of key technologies, these organizations help harmonize the development of innovations with social values and needs, so as to create quality jobs, improve the quality of life and sustainable development.
