Three-day conference “A new paradigm of health care” organized by Chamber of Health Institutions of Serbia and under the auspices of the Ministry of Health held from December 11 to 13 in Vrnjačka Banja.

 

The most important current issues of the healthcare system were discussed, as well as novelties in the functioning and organization, including legal and economic issues.

The topics addressed at the conference included emergency medicine and emergency care, the relationship between medical and non-medical staff, financial operations of healthcare facilities, quality of healthcare, auditing, budget accounting, public procurement in healthcare, occupational health and safety.

 

 

On the second day of the conference, Svetlana Marinković, Assistant Head of the Department for Accounting Affairs, delivered the presentation entitled “Improvement of the Information System of the Finance Department of the UCCS” on behalf of the University Clinical Center of Serbia. During the presentation, an example from practice was presented of how Heliant’s business information system Moneo facilitated the work and contributed to faster and more efficient performance of the financial department of the UCCS and helped them overcome certain challenges in their work.

Some of  the advantages that Moneo has brought to the UCCS are: preparation of pro forma invoices and invoices, automation of posting in the General Ledger (posting of fiscal invoices, co-payments, outgoing invoices for the part paid by the Funds and the Ministry), entry of invoices for stem and reproductive cells (foreign currency invoices, calculation of exchange rate differences, etc.), calculation of VAT and preparation of tax returns in accordance with legal regulations, records of bills of exchange and guarantees, as well as shorter inventory time, the connection between goods and finances.

The Chamber of Healthcare Facilities of Serbia has been organizing this conference since its establishment in 1959. It traditionally gathers hundreds of participants, among whom are representatives of a large number of healthcare facilities in the country.
