The founder of the companies “Heliant” and “Infolab”, Vukašin Radulović, was officially elected chairman at today’s session of the NALED Healthcare Alliance. This is Radulović’s second term of office, having previously been elected as the first man of the Alliance in 2022.
The new presidency of the Healthcare Alliance was also presented at the session, in which, in addition to Radulović, vice-chairpersons Milena Argirović (Takeda), Marijana Vasilescu (MediGroup) and Danilo Mijušković (Merck) were elected.
Special guests, Katarina Pavičić, Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Serbia, Dr Ivana Stašević Karličić, State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Marija Malešević, from the Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, as well as the Chairman of the Association, Vukašin Radulović, spoke about the future of cooperation and common priorities in improving healthcare. The introductory speech was given by Dragana Šutović Ilić, Advisor for Regulatory Reform at NALED, who asked inspiring questions to the participants and actively conducted the discussion.
The new reform priorities for the next two years include:
- Continuation of the process of healthcare digitalization (development of eHealth, full implementation of eRecord, further development of telemedicine, application of artificial intelligence and new technologies)
- Complete integration of the private and public sectors (expansion of the inclusion of the private sector in the Republic Fund of Health Insurance)
- Amendments to regulations related to medicines
- Amendments to regulations and improvement of practices in the field of clinical trials
In this year’s edition of the Grey Book of Healthcare, NALED published the most common administrative obstacles in improving our healthcare system, as well as proposals for solutions for overcoming them.
Vukašin Radulović first expressed his gratitude to the members for their trust and support, and for making the digitalization of healthcare a top priority. Heliant has been a member of NALED since 2020, and since then, a lot has been achieved to improve our healthcare system. “Of the 10 priorities, 6 were directly or indirectly related to digitalization. A lot has been done, but I think there is even more to achieve,” said Radulović.
“There are great expectations in this field, fortunately we have the full support of the Ministry of Health and the competent state institutions. Without amendments to the relevant regulations and a broader understanding of the digitalization process at the state level, we would not be able to provide adequate solutions”, added the Chairman of the NALED Healthcare Alliance.
It is encouraging that representatives of the Government, the Ministry and the most important institutions in this sector support the priorities that are transparently presented to all members of the Alliance, and which we will put into practice synergistically in the next two years.
“The good thing is the continuity in the digitalization of healthcare, which began during the previous term of office of Minister Lončar, and we continue to work on it. With joint forces and diversified expertise, we will overcome the once insurmountable and now very foreseeable challenges that we may face. Digitalization permeates other priorities, I hope that we will work on them very successfully and efficiently and that we will use this momentum”, Vukašin concluded.
In 2018, NALED formed the Healthcare Alliance, at the initiative of its members – drug manufacturers, wholesalers and local governments – who recognized the common interest in establishing a more efficient healthcare system at both the local and national level.
In the year when it was established, the Alliance had 12 members, today it has 43 members, including representatives of the pharmaceutical and oil industries, the IT sector and scientific institutions, public institutions, as well as the private sector members.
