The representatives of the company “Heliant”, Vukašin Radulović and Filip Maljković, participated in the 18th digital medicine conference “Future is now”, held on June 13 at the “Falkensteiner” Hotel in Belgrade.
The themes of this year’s conference were electronic clinical pathways with a focus on diabetes and chronic kidney disease. These diseases significantly burden both the world’s and our population, and disease management and screening programs can be significantly improved by the various digital solutions presented at the conference.
Vukašin Radulović, a partner in the company “Heliant”, participated in the panel “Electronic clinical pathways – screening and monitoring of patients”, at which an academician Nebojša Lalić, professor and former dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Belgrade, and Aleksandar Opačić, president of the Serbian Diabetes Association, also spoke.
Filip Maljković, head of the development team of the company “Heliant” participated in the panel “Digital technologies and chronic kidney disease – partnership for the benefit of patients”. The introduction to the panel was held by MD/PhD Igor Mitić, nephrologist from UCC Vojvodina, while MD Bogdan Milojković, Head of the Department for Medical Affairs at the company “Carna Health”, and Nenad Vuković, Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit Director, “AstraZeneca” Serbia, also participated in the panel. The solution proposal developed by the company “Heliant” in cooperation with the company “AstraZeneca” for the improvement of clinical pathways in health centres was presented during the panel.
A mini-panel was also held, attended by Assistant Professor MD/PhD Darko Antić, haematologist, from the UCC Serbia and MD/PhD Lazar Popović, oncologist, from the Institute of Oncology of Vojvodina at which they spoke about telemedicine, and podcasts that helped physicians and patients stay up to date with the latest trends and local current events in the treatment of malignant diseases. Finally, MD/PhD Lalić presented the results of the study “The value of CGM technologies in terms of a better understanding of glycaemic control and variability”.
The conference ended with a workshop on the development of digital skills of healthcare professionals, held by the company “ZEM Solutions”.
The program was moderated by MD Ivana Božović, journalist of the information program of the Serbian National Broadcasting Company.
This event brings together all relevant stakeholders focused on digitization and the development of important technological trends, which have a positive impact on healthcare and the improvement of people’s quality of life, and represents a leading place for the exchange of information in the digitization of healthcare in Central Europe.
